We believe in freedom and self-determination. That’s why we build on software and AI technologies — and data centers — that make exactly that possible: business-critical systems have to stay available, and the decision over them should never rest with a foreign government. Anyone who wants to keep control of their systems needs to know which rules apply to them. Under the U.S. CLOUD Act, for example, American providers can be compelled to hand over data to U.S. authorities — regardless of where that data physically sits, and including through their European subsidiaries. That’s why a provider’s headquarters alone tells you little; what counts is whose jurisdiction it truly falls under. What also matters is not the provider’s alone, but a level playing field: we work together with mid-sized partners, not superdominant tech giants.
